We are just about to leave our protected anchorage outside Moorea and head up to the islands of Tuamotus. Bay Dreamer is again fully loaded with fuel, food and water and she feels a bit like a German tank because of her temporary “over weight”.
Because me and Anna are not going back to “civilisation” for a couple of moths we decided it was for the best to top up all our storage to absolute max this time. We had to visit the big super market in Tahiti 3 times before we could load in all the food from our 6 HUGE shopping carts. Bay Dreamer has not been this fully loaded sense our long Pacific crossing from Panama- so speed will not be our mantra on this trip!
The crew has been arriving to the boat for the last week and it was not until yesterday night all people finally were onboard. Onboard our little boat this time we have: Ulf 73 from Sweden, Jack 28 from USA and Sara 29 from Canada!
Uffe, Jack and me have been out hiking a bit here in Moorea meanwhile we were waiting for Sara to arrive. Moorea is really beautiful and if you have a friend like Uffe you might also have the opportunity to see it all. This guy took us on a mad 6 hour hike that put both Jack, me and Vera to sleep- never let age fool you- its just a number!!!!
Our first destination together as crew will most likely be Rangiroa or maybe Fakarava if the wind allows us to go that far east without doing any serious tacking!
Time to go…..
Cya you guys upon our arrival in Tuamotos.
Would like to participate your sailing in the future
