We left the marina in Loutra around 2200, right after the kids went to sleep and started our 50 miles journey to the Island Paros. The weather forecast told us that we would have 20 knots of wind all the way and we calculated the trip to take about 10 hours. As always the forecast was wrong and the trip took us 12 hours instead.
Andreas was skipping the boat by himself during the night for a couple of hours. it´s pretty nice when you have 3 people onboard that can share the sailing duties during the night- more sleep to the people!!! This leg was also our first sailing together in normal wind conditions; wish makes everything easier and more comfortable especially for those whom suffer from sea sickness.
We are now “parked “ in a small port right outside a village called Naousa on the island Paros; It´s a really nice place with a lot of traditional white houses with blue windows and doors, well inside the “town” you will find a lot of small taverns and restaurants.
The wind is really strong at the moment and we have been sailing a little bit too much and also in too rough weather the last couple of days so I think that we will stay here for at least a day or two so that everyone will have a chance to reload and get the energy back.
We actually feel a little bit sorry for our guests- everything gets so much more difficult and uncomfortable when the wind is strong- but there is nothing we can do about it so we hope that they are enjoying them self anyway.
