A couple of days ago we started to work hard on the boat- really hard to be honest. We started off with taking the boat up on the slipway here in the marina. This was a new experience for us and both Anna and I were pretty nervous about doing this maneuver.
We drove the boat onto the slip when the tidal water was at its highest level- slowly, slowly until you heard the sound of 100% pure tarmac under the hull?! When the water level dropped, the boat was on land and we both prayed that the lines that were preventing us from tipping backwards were going to hold.
The purpose of this “operation” was to mount a new water intake for our new water maker and sort out a broken seal around the sail drive. Everything went really smoothly and both the intake and the rubber seal is now in place.
It was a “shocker” when we at 11 o’clock in the night realized that the high tide was not enough for us to reverse the boat out from the slipway. When the water level was at its max we were still grounded?!?! We managed to get out after a while with help from our two engines and a couple of strong guys that jumped into the water and pushed us out- thanks’ a lot guys
We have also installed the water-maker, it took us 48 hours of blood,sweat and tears to install the damn thing. It was a lot harder than I excepted; saltwater intake, pressurized water intake, waste-water outlet, water-tank connections, computer-boxes and about 20 meters of cable together with a lot of drilling and swearing to get the “thing” in place.
One of our future “crew members” (RADO from Slovakia) helped us out A LOT during these days, besides helping us with the water-maker he also build us a new storage area in the starboard pontoon- thank you very much Rado for all the help..
A great selection of our family will arrive to Las Palmas tomorrow afternoon; Anna’s mother and sister with her two kids will stay with us for 2 whole weeks. We are looking forward to meet you guys again.

Roligt att mamma Sanne, Jessica och barnen kommer på besök. Ni får säkert ett par härliga veckor tillsammans med sol och bad.
Sen blir det en spännande långsegling över det stora havet. Jag önskar er en trevlig resa. Vilket äventyr ni är ute på! Och Vera tycks ha det bra, hon kan nog inte ha det bättre med såna människor som ni.
Kommer ni förbi Singapore på “hemvägen” är ni välkomna till Frida m familj. Vi har nyligen varit där helt fantastiskt.

Än är ni inte bortglömda 😉 Lodin snodde min telefon idag å helt plötsligt sitter han och kollar på bilder, utbrister ååå Daniel. Å tänk så rätt han hade, där på skärmen dök din glada nuna upp! Även Vera är ihågkommen!

Roligt att du följer oss. Det är jättemysigt att ha mamma, Jessica och barnen på besök. Ja snart seglar vi över till andra sidan och då kommer pappa och hälsar på!
Jag hörde från pappa att Frida och familjen flyttat dit för en stund, häftigt. Vi kommer nog att passera där om två år eller så. Är dom kvar då ska jag absolut höra av mig.

Haha gulliga Lodin! Daniels face glömmer man inte i första taget. Fatta nästa gång vi ses, då har inte jag sett Lodin på ett helt år. Han kommer att ha blivit sjukt stor.
Nu när Jens blivit en av våra “nödsändarpersoner” hoppas jag verkligen inte att vi glöms bort… haha
Japp han d ju typ en meter hög å pratar lika mkt som jag… Å du, jag hoppas inte bli påmind om er via nödmess! Ha d jättekul med familjen nu. Tusan va jag saknar dig <3
