In 2013, we made a plan to pack up our life in Sweden and sail around the world for three years and then return home. As the years went by, our original plan went slightly off course and our plans have been forever changing since.
It is now 2018 and we have no plans what so ever to leave the 7 seas for a normal “rat race” life back home. Besides leaving the 3 year plan long behind we also opened up a new and originally unplanned chapter of sailing adventures with our new boat.
In chapter one we did the Mediterranean Sea, the Atlantic, Caribbean, the Pacific and all the way up to Thailand trough South East Asia. Now, it’s time to do it all over again with our new boat, starting in the Caribbean for chapter two.
This time, our route plan (for now….) looks like this:
First, we start of with getting the boat from the U.S down to the Caribbean in November 2018 to enjoy the sun for a couple of months before it is time to sail back over the Atlantic into the Mediterranean. The plan is to spend a year there before we sail back over the Atlantic for a 3rd time and spend some time in the Caribbean once more.
When the Caribbean season comes to its end, this time we will leave for the Panama Canal and then head up north to Sea of Cortez in Mexico. We always wanted to go there and this time we WILL do it before it is time to set sail and cruise through our absolute favourite place on earth: The Pacific Ocean.
The final destination in the Pacific Ocean will be New Zealand but who knows when this will be on the timeline.
