Great times – Full house in San Blas

We arrived to Portobelo in Panama after another successful sail from Cartagena in Colombia! The trip took us 6 days and we spend 3 nights in the San Blas Islands together with our 7 guests. This trip was definitely one of the best so far- great weather, great people and also great winds to go with all the greatnes!

Katrin that is sailing with us for a while took the initiative and write her first post on our website- here it is!

After spending 5 month on a Monohull, I wanted to experience the life on a Catamaran. And I really have to say, its totally different, in a very very  pleasant way.

We left Cartagena after the Brazil/Colombia Football Game, heading straight to San Blas Islands. After 2 days we saw this delightful spot appear.
Around 350 tiny tiny Islands close to Panama with Palmtrees only, we also spotted an Island with a single Palmtree on it, isn’t this the dream of everyone coming to the Caribbean??

I spent more time in the waters,  checking out reefs, ship wrecks my swimming or diving skills, than on land. Well, on one occasion I had to make an exception,
the German/Brazil Football game. Can you imagine a tiny island, lots of palm trees two huts and in one of them a flat screen?? It was so unreal to watch the game, especially the 7:1 result.

The life on this Catamaran is comparable with a 5Star Hotel, in the mornings you wake up with the smell of pancakes in your nose, you then top it with
Bananas and Nutella, for dinner will be the „Catch of the Day“ or Lobsters and if Anna is in the mood for it there is a midnight chocolate cake waiting, (after coming back from the Bonfire on this tiny Palmtree Island).

I am still in this kind of dream bubble, why did I stay 5 month on this other boat???
🙂
