Bay Dreamer is smiling again!

The boat seems to be smiling again! Everything that broke during our long crossing over to French Polynesia is now working fine again. The port engine, the water maker, and our little generator is at this very moment working to 100%.

Maybe Vera would like a new friend?! #puppy #rangiroa #atoll #tuamotos #lifeatsea #sailingbaydreamer

Hell- we even started to get fish again- ALOT of fish! During this short trip from Marquises to Tuamutos we managed to get 3 Wahoo’s and one MONSTER yellowfin tuna!

The tuna that weight about 20 kilogram has given us first class food now for 3 days and we even have one more meal to squeeze out of it!

Bay Dreamer is smiling- I am smiling – life is GREAT!

Rangrioa – our first Atoll

After 5 days of downwind sailing we entered our first atoll- Rangirora. This is actually the biggest atoll in the world and it stretches way beyond the horizon. The water inside the lagoon is all flat and it feels like you are inside a big lake.

The only downside with the atolls is the tidal currents you will find in the passages. This atoll has a current of 6 knots when the water is going down and 3 knots when it´s rising. You have to make sure you time your entry or exit well to avoid problems!

Well- I have to go now- spearfishing is on the meny!

Cya soon!
