We are looking for new crew-members that want to tag along for an unique sail trough one of the worlds most remote group of islands- The Marquesas! The whole trip will take us 4 weeks and we will visit places such as Nuki Hiva, Hiva Oa, Fatu Hiva and Ua Huka.

This group of islands that together forms the Marquesas is one of the world’s most remote islands. The nature is dramatic with its high green mountains and remote beaches. This place is an adventure mecca for everyone that is into deep forests full of fresh fruits, waterfalls, rainforest, old ruins and hidden lagoons.

The plankton rich waters that surrounds the islands its far from the clearest in the world. But because of the richness of plankton you will find a rich marine life; hammerheads, whales, dolphins and manta-rays are spotted frequently in the area.

We have visited these islands before but at the time we only had time to scrape the surface, it is now time to dig deeper!

About the trip

We are planning to start and finish our 4 week long journey from the island of Nuku Hiva which is one of the northern islands of Marquesas. We will not make a detailed travel route before it is time to set sail. We will adapt the route to the current wind conditions so that we make the most out of our time together instead of wasting precious time beating into the wind.

Starting date is set to: 10th of december 2015

We have 3 available cabins onboard for this trip so pack your best hiking-shoes, sharpen your machete, put on your snorkel and join us!

To get here

There is domestic flights between Nuki Hiva and Tahiti on a daily basis

Costs:

Bay Dreamer is a non-profit boat. We are not making any money from our crew but we are all sharing the expenses while sailing together. The running cost of Bay Dreamer is 500 euro/week per person.  This covers food, water diesel, cooking-gas, maintenance, spare-parts, sat-communication, boat insurance etc
