You will find many Pelicans over here in British Virgin Island. They are pretty cool to watch, big fat birds that dives into the water like Japanese “Kami Kazi” pilots when they are hunting for fish.
Yesterday I saw one of those crazy birds swimming around in the bay with a broken wing. I felt really bad for the bird so we called the local Animal Rescue Center here in BVI and asked for permission to end it´s life.
We used one of our harpoons to put him to sleep and we wish him better luck in his next life. We buried the strange looking Kami Kazi pilot next to the waterline in smugglers Bay- we hope that he appreciates the gesture and that he doesn’t hold this against us if we meet in the afterlife.
