One step closer to Marquesas

Later on today we will start our pretty long journey up north to the Marquesas Islands. Before we can   set a direct course for our destination we will have to sail almost 300 miles in an eastern direction  to an atoll named Hao. The winds are far from perfect and I am afraid that we will have to help out our new sails with our trusted engines to reach our destination in a reasonable time.

Our time here in Fakarava has been very nice and laid back! We have spend most of our time over here down close to the southern pass where you will find the famous “shark wall”. Me and Jack have been doing a lot of spearfishing and i direct result of that is that Parrotfish and Grouper has been on Bay Dreamers food menu more than once!

Fakarava south is truly beautiful and the diving in the pass is always a spectacular experience. Even if you know what to expect when you put on your dive-gear it´s hard not to be stunned when you get under the surface. To dive together with 100´s of sharks will impress any diver regardless of level and experience.

Both Sarah and Uffe has left the boat after spending 3 weeks onboard our beloved boat and continued their travels by air-plane. Uffe “The shark-diver” is now in the USA and Sarah “the night-diver” is heading towards New Zealand. Thank you guys for everything and we hope you will get an awesome time where ever you are!

Onboard the boat now we have Jack that has been sailing with us ever sense Tahiti and Galen that came onboard a couple of days ago! We have a long journey ahead of us  but I am sure we will be in Marquesas shortly!

See you in Hao!

    Tack
    Filip Mathiasson
