We started of with sail and boat training as soon as Renato & his mother came onboard the boat. Renato who is a fast learner is handling the boat as a pro already; tacking, jibing and some marina manoeuvring has been on the schedule so far.

Davide and Gibba arrived two days after Renato and we were ready to start the guys dive master training the next morning. But not everything goes as planned all the time! The mainsail got stuck while reefing and we managed to damage the mainsail which led to to a two day “setback” in the planned program!

To kill time meanwhile the sail got repaired Renato and Gibba took me and Davide out for our first kitesurfing lesson! We did pretty ok according to Renato; both me and Davide managed to almost get up fon the board for a few seconds before we crashed and “face planted” into the water.

Cayman Island is practically Davides home island, he has been working over here for more than four years. He knows pretty much everyone and everyone on the island seems to know Davide! His Italian friends has been fantastic to us; buying us dinner, making us dinner, driven us around the island when we needed to sort stuff out- I am truly impressed by the Italian hospitality!

The repaired mainsail got mounted yesterday and we left Camana Bay early this morning for the very famous spot: Stingray City! This place is super touristy but it is a reason for it! Just by the outer reef you will find a very shallow sandbank that crowded by stingrays!  Davide that has been working with taking tourists to this very specific place really gave us an unique stingray experience! We were all feeding them and got the chance to really get close with them!

We have now left the “North sound” and are now on the south side of the Island where it is a lot better if you wanna do proper diving! The guys did a good 30 meter “fun-dive” this afternoon and I think there dive-training is going to get pretty intense tomorrow from morning and forward!
